Sarasota Aero Club was founded by local instructors and pilots who saw the need for top quality instruction and rental aircraft, all at an affordable price.
With the costs of rental aircraft rising to new highs, our founding members all felt the burden of having to find a way to pay for flight training to acheive our dreams. The solution....

World Class Flight Training
When people think of Sarasota, FL, they think of World Class. That is exactly what you will find at Sarasota Aero Club. Here, we make it our top priorities to offer the best flying lessons, with the best aircraft, and all at the best prices in the Sarasota / Tampa Bay area. Our membership is made up of student and private pilots from the local area including North Port, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Venice, Sarasota, Bradenton, and Tampa.
All of our aircraft are hangered at the Venice Municipal airport on Venice Island. Flying from the Venice airport gives us the ability to train in a highly convenient environment without large commercial jet traffic or intensive radio communication, and when necessary, easily make the short hop over to Sarasota International Airport or Punta Gorda to give our members the opportunity to also train in a high traffic environment.

Our Flight School is FAA Part 61 and is designed to provide you the most professional and structured flight training experience possible. We have programs available to fit all needs, some of which include housing options for international students looking to complete flight training here in Venice.
We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year with the exception of a few holidays.
Our instructors are some of the best you will find in the country. Fully FAA certified with thousands of hours of combined experience.
